Croatian Telecom (Reuters: HT.ZA; Bloomberg: HT CZ), Croatia’s leading telecommunications provider, notifies that HAKOM (Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries) determined that Croatian Telecom fulfils all conditions for participation in the public auction procedure, thus qualifying for participation in the bidding in the public auction procedure.
On 27 May 2021, HAKOM initiated the public auction procedure for assignment of licences for using RF spectrum in 700 MHz, 3600 MHz and 26 GHz radiofrequency bands, used for 5th generation mobile communications networks (5G), on the territory of the Republic of Croatia.
Only qualified applicants are allowed to participate in the bidding procedure, making them bidders in the bidding procedure.
The bidding procedure is to commence on 12 July, while the decision on selection of one or more bidders and on issuing of licences for using RF spectrum is expected by end of August 2021.
