Croatian Telecom (Reuters: HT.ZA; Bloomberg: HT CZ), Croatia’s leading telecommunications provider, announces that the Supervisory Board by today’s decision has appointed Konstantinos Nempis as President of the Management Board (CEO) of Croatian Telecom Inc. for another term of office in the duration of three (3) years, with commencement as of 1 April 2022.
Jonathan Richard Talbot, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, stated: “Since his appointment in 2019, Konstantinos Nempis has with his team made great progress in Croatian Telecom’s transformation. This is even more relevant taking in consideration the unprecedented and demanding conditions which the whole economy and telecommunication industry faced and through which HT navigated successfully. Which is confirmed by the fact that HT set new standards in company’s history in terms of network and service quality improvements, seen in the largest ever fiber roll-out in a single year, the launch of the first commercial 5G network in Croatia, the best ever customer satisfaction, all-time high employee satisfaction, to name a few. Under his leadership HT made a significant leap, strengthening its leadership position and creating value for shareholders, customers, partners and employees. Having all this in mind, I’m looking forward to everything he and his team can do in the next mandate”.
Konstantinos Nempis took over the duties of the President of the Management Board as of 1 April 2019. He came to Croatian Telecom from OTE Group, the leading provider of telecommunications services in Greece, where he held the position of the Chief Commercial Officer for Residential Customers. He has more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, during which he led national and international commercial teams in fixed and mobile telecommunications companies.
