Out of 286 works submitted to this year's HT Award for Croatian Contemporary Art, the International Expert Committee has selected 34, out of which five authors in the category for youngsters, which together with the three invited artists make a total of 37 authors presenting recent works at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MSU) from May 17 to June 9.
The most selected works are installations, followed by photos and videos, multimedia and video installations, and objects, then less represented are images, drawings, sculptures, graphics, and performances.

In the category 'For the young' selected are Denis Butorac, 'Homesick', 2018., Mario Javoran, 'Last sailor of the Mediterranean', 2019., Nikolina Kuzmić, 'Archives of the pathological slides', 2018-2019., Denis Svirać, 'Artist’s freedom', 2019. and Nives Žarković, 'You should be ashamed', 2018.
Of the above-mentioned works of art, the international jury will select the three best works: the first prize in the amount of 75 thousand, the second in the amount of 45 thousand and the third in the amount of 40 thousand.ry for young people in the amount of 20 thousand kunas to one author.
The redeemed works become part of the MSU's gallery.
The jury will also award the prize in the new category for young people in the amount of 20 thousand kunas to one author.
A public award in the amount of HRK 10,000 is paid to the artist whose work won the highest number of votes counted by the jury after the closing of the exhibition. The award of the public and for the young are not redeemable and are paid to the authors as an incentive for further work.
Invited artists who, according to the selection of the expert jury, directly participate in the exhibition are Andreja Kulunčić, Vesna Pokas, and Nora Turato.
The international jury consists of the head of the MSU Snježana Pintarić (president of the jury), curators Andreas Hoffer (Kunsthalle, Krems), Alenka Gregorič (Mestna galerija Ljubljana and Galerija KC Tobačna 001), Ivana Kancir (MSU), and academic sculptor Alem Korkut.
