MAGENTA 1 B2B RUN, the largest-scale business socialising event for employees in Croatian companies, will be held for the fourth consecutive year in four largest Croatian cities. MAGENTA 1 B2B RUN starts in Split on 10 May, which will be followed by races in Rijeka and Osijek (24 May and 14 June), whereas the final and the largest gathering has been scheduled in Zagreb on 13 September.
This year’s active socialising event is expected to bring together over 8,000 participants. MAGENTA 1 B2B RUN is intended for employees from all business entities registered in the territory of Croatia. Last year, 6,500 employees from over 400 companies, both from the public and private sector, participated in the five-kilometre race. This confirmed the status of the event that brings together the largest number of employees in Croatia and two more records were broken. It is a running race event that has encouraged the largest number of new participants to dare to come to the starting line, since for every third participant in the race this was the first time they participated in a race. Moreover, last year’s race in Zagreb broke the Croatian record concerning the number of participants that have been brought together at a race in one discipline: over 4,500 participants departed the starting line.
"Business culture is currently considered as a competitive advantage, in Southeast Europe even more so than in Western Europe. This was simultaneously confirmed by a great turnout of Croatian companies for MAGENTA 1 B2B RUN, which has been identified as one of the tools for the promotion of the business culture that improves interpersonal communication and the feeling of satisfaction”, stated Dijana Vetturelli, the initiator of MAGENTA 1 B2B RUN.
Hrvatski Telekom is yet again the partner of this year’s event. Marija Felkel, Member of the Management Board and Chief Human Resources Officer at Hrvatski Telekom, noted: "Hrvatski Telekom has been continuously investing in development of all its employees. The research conducted last year showed that MAGENTA 1 B2B RUN is an ideal combination of teamwork and informal socialising, which has positively affected and improved corporate culture and the strengthening of interpersonal relations. The title of the fittest company in most running races held to date is primarily due to this togetherness amongst the HT employees."
The Ambassador of the Race and the Captain of HT Running Team, Bojan Mušćet, commented on the previous editions of this popular business event: “Last year, over 6,000 people ran with us, including more than seven hundred colleagues from HT. I am glad that HT has an exceptionally strong team that attracts an increasing number of participants. During the period of three years, the number of HT participants has tripled. This year there will be even more runners, and I’m delighted because we have managed to encourage people in the business community to become active and start building healthy habits. Business needs running shoes. So, let’s put them on and start running!"
