Croatia's big security award was awarded on Wednesday in Opatija, at Croatian Security Days. This is the award of the Association of Croatian Security Managers, which gives recognition to individuals, business entities and institutions, and the local community - to all those who make a big contribution to the achievement and development of security.
HT's project „Share the positive, block the negative“ has been awarded the prize of the Initiative of the year in the area of social responsibility. The project unites the academic community, the NGO sector, and state institutions with the aim of increasing the level of safety of children on the Internet. Hrvatski Telekom's main partners are Hrabri telefon (the Brave Phone helpline) and the Society for Communication and Media Culture (DKMK), whose representatives coordinate EU Kids Online in Croatia, the largest international project in the area of media literacy.
The initiative comprises of a range of activities to raise the level of awareness and better protection of children on the Internet. The key outcome will be the first national comparative study of the level of child safety on the Internet, which will be the basis used for the national regulation of this important topic.
The Jury of the Croatia's big security award are: President prof.dr.sc.Vlatko Cvrtila, dean of VERN Zagreb University, associate prof.dr.sc. Valentina Kranželić, Faculty of Education and Rehabilitation in Zagreb, dr.sc. Krunoslav Borovec, Assistant Director of police of Republic of Croatia, prof.dr.sc. Božo Skoko, Faculty of political sciences in Zagreb, Ana Raić-Knežević, journalist and Alen Ostojić, president of the Association of Croatian Security Managers.

The award was established by the Croatian Association of Security Managers in 2010 and it has been awarded since 2011. The aim of the award is for the profession to give recognition to individuals and institutions that promote security.
