For the ninth year in a row, The Museum of Contemporary Art (MSU) and Hrvatski Telekom are organising the competition for the awarding of prizes from the area of contemporary visual arts called T-HTnagrada@msu.hr
For the ninth year in a row, The Museum of Contemporary Art (MSU) and Hrvatski Telekom are organising the competition for the awarding of prizes for Croatian contemporary art, the T-HTnagrada@msu.hr. This year, 172 works were submitted to the competition, and an international expert committee has selected 35 of them, which is, along with three invited artists, a total of 38 artists who will present their recent work at the MSU in the course of March. The exhibition will be open from 10 to 25 March, and all selected works of art will be available for viewing to the wider public.
The competition is an invitation to artists dealing with new communication technologies, multimedia video and audio production, or, on one hand, with media art, such as video, experimental film, and Internet art, and, on the other hand, with the area of crossover between art and technology, such as robotics or electronic art.
The works will be evaluated and selected by an international expert committee, this year comprised of: Snježana Pintarić, M.Sc., President of the Expert Committee, Director of the Museum of Contemporary Art and Museum Counsellor; Rainald Schumacher, Curator, Office for Art, Berlin; Marco Scotini, Independent Curator, Milan; Associate Professor Sandra Vitaljić, Photographer, Academy of Dramatic Art, Zagreb; and Nataša Ivančević, Museum Counsellor, Deputy Director, Head of the Collections Department and of the Sculpture Collection at the Museum of Contemporary Art.

In addition, three invited artists, participating directly in the competition at the invitation of the expert committee, will present their works, too. The artists are Jelena Blagović, Igor Eškinja, and Goran Petercol.
The most notable and most original works will receive three prizes as selected by the expert committee. The first prize is worth HRK 50,000, the second prize HRK 45,000, and the third prize HRK 40,000. The purchased works of art will become a part of the T-HT@MSU Collection. In addition to the main prizes, the artists can also win the audience prize amounting to HRK 10,000 that will go to the artist whose work has received the most votes from the audience.
