Hrvatski Telekom introduces MultiSIM option for Apple Watches
Hrvatski Telekom, the only Croatian mobile operator since 2023 to offer tariffs that users can share with Android-powered smartwatches, is now extending the same option to iOS, enabling compatibility with Apple Watches.
Apple Watch users can now use the same phone number on their smartwatch via eSIM, in addition to the SIM card in their iPhone. This allows the watch to independently connect to the network, enabling users to make and receive calls and messages and use all internet-connected apps, even when their iPhone is not nearby. Users can even make payments using their Apple Watch without needing their iPhone. For instance, if their iPhone runs out of battery, they remain reachable through the watch. Similarly, they can leave their phone behind during sports or other activities and still enjoy streaming audio content.
To get started, users just need to request the MultiSIM service. The installation of the MultiSIM eSIM profile is available to all new and existing residential customers who have one of the following eligible mobile tariffs for residential users: M, L, Unlimited GB, M in M1, L in M1, Unlimited GB in M1, and the Young tariff. For activations during the promotional period, the first three months of using the MultiSIM service are free of charge. After this period, a fee of €3.99 per month applies.
When activating the MultiSIM option, users will continue to pay the monthly fee for their iPhone tariff. After the promotional period, an additional fee of €3.99/month will apply for each extra SIM card or eSIM profile. All usage (minutes, messages, GB) remains included in the primary tariff.
