'The Call You Have to Take' by Hrvatski Telekom - best European sustainability campaign
'The Call You Have to Take' platform, developed by Hrvatski Telekom and focused on environmental protection, more efficient use of natural resources, circular economy, and responsible management of electronic waste, has been recognized as the best European campaign in the sustainability communication and has been awarded the European Excellence Award 2024.
The European Excellence Awards is an international award for outstanding achievements in the communications industry, evaluating each campaign's strategy, creativity, societal impact, innovation, and effectiveness. Each year, the awards attract numerous leading European and global brands.
This marks the third significant recognition for 'The Call You Have to Take', which has already received two Golden World Awards 2024 for the best global campaigns in social responsibility and environmental protection categories from the International PR Association. It also won a gold corporate social responsibility award at the GrandPRix organized by the Croatian Public Relations Association.
"Since the launch of 'The Call You Have to Take', Hrvatski Telekom in 2023 collected and responsibly disposed of more devices, mobile phones, and tablets in an environmentally friendly way than in 2021 and 2022 combined, and 2024 is set to be another record-breaking year. The initiative is a true example of a program with many large and small, systematic, year-round activities involving the entire company. It feels great to know that we are contributing to positive change and environmental protection and that the sustainability programs we work on in Croatia have been recognized as the best at the European level," said Igor Vukasović, Director of Corporate Communications at Hrvatski Telekom.
For the second consecutive year, Hrvatski Telekom has won the European Excellence Award, following the success of its 'How Are You?' campaign, which addressed mental health issues and was named the best European social responsibility campaign in 2023.
