At Hrvatski Telekom, we believe that if we want to live in a more tolerant and inclusive world, we must address society's problems. This Christmas, we recognized separation as one of the major issues, as we live in a time of great divisions. Sometimes, it seems as though we are more focused on what divides us than on everything that brings us together.
The central message of Hrvatski Telekom's holiday campaign is that connections begin where barriers break based on the belief that even in today's polarized society, there are far more things that unite us, regardless of faith, nationality, age, social status, personal preferences, and interests. To encourage us all to think about the barriers we create for ourselves rather than tearing them down, Hrvatski Telekom will launch a series of podcasts alongside an inspiring advertising campaign, promoting personal stories of real people who do not acknowledge differences who have broken down barriers and, in doing so, changed their own lives and the lives of others for the better.
"So many different barriers divide us in our personal, family, and professional lives. But, more importantly – there are just as many opportunities to remove barriers and opportunities for connection. Each of us can take that one step, make one gesture, or extend one call for unity with someone we may have been separated from due to prejudice, misunderstanding, pride, or similar reasons. This holiday season, we want to inspire everyone with the stories of people who have managed to break down the barriers that divided them from others. Through these stories, we want to show the positive change that breaking down these barriers has made in their lives," said Branka Bajt, Brand Director at Hrvatski Telekom.
"Our brand aims to connect people. We want to clearly show how important and possible it is to break down barriers. Our company is committed to social cohesion, greater tolerance, fighting all forms of discrimination, and advocating for what connects people, societies, and cultures," emphasized Ulrich Klenke, Brand Director at Deutsche Telekom, who presented the holiday campaign in the style of a modern fairy tale for 10 European markets.
