With today’s official end of the public auction procedure for the assignment of radio frequency spectrum for mobile networks HT assured by far the largest spectrum share of which is another key strategic lever for further development of its already leading and fastest mobile network.
Following the public auction procedure and the EUR 135.3 million investment for RF spectrum Croatian Telecom was at the national level awarded 2x10 MHz in 800 MHz frequency band, 2x15 MHz in 900 MHz frequency band, 2x30 MHz in 1800 MHz frequency band, 2x25 MHz in 2100 MHz frequency band and 2x25 MHz in 2600 MHz frequency band.
Consequently, from the total offered amount of radio frequency spectrum of 2x270 MHz, Croatian Telecom was awarded 2x105 MHz with which Croatian Telecom maintained its leading position in terms of spectrum shares for mobile networks.
Licenses for the use of the radio frequency spectrum are being assigned for the period of 15 years, validity starting from 19 October 2024.
Croatian Telecom continues to use the previously assigned 2x95 MHz in the above mentioned frequency bands until the new licenses for the use of the radio frequency spectrum begin to be valid.
