This year’s third HT B2Run race took place in Osijek, with more than a thousand runners. For the first time, the race was held on Wednesday and not on Thursday like all the races so far. Despite the extremely high temperature, over 32 degrees on the rare parts of the track along the Drava, the race was, as always, spectacularly organized and run.
This year's edition of the HT B2Run race in Osijek gathered more than 1005 runners from 89 companies who proved that this event is the largest team building and sports business event that encourages socializing, networking and better cooperation of employees. Osijek runners were joined by runners from Slavonski Brod, Vukovar, Belišće, Požega, Beli Manastir, Rovinj, Velika Gorica, Zagreb and other parts of Croatia. For the first time, the HT B2Run race had participants from abroad, a team from Vienna also ran in Osijek. Let us recall that there are no privileged or titles in this race, the emphasis is rather on strengthening the team spirit and creating a working environment that allows a balance of private and business life. The real winners will be those whose focus in this sport-business event is not only on sport but primarily entertainment, socializing, team building and other aspects important for business success.
After the race, and before the start of the entertainment program organized for all runners, special B2Run recognitions were awarded at the local level. Specifically, although it has no competitive character in the first place, HT B2Run has recognitions for runners in special categories.
This year, all the runners and participants of the B2Run take part in the humanitarian challenge - in the city where Garmin as the official timekeeper of the HT B2Run records the fastest running time, Hrvatski Telekom will launch a digital literacy program for the local population through free educational workshops in city libraries. Split hosted the first race and reached an average time of 29 minutes and 52 seconds. Rijeka was somewhat slower with an average run time of 31 minutes and 1 second while Osijek inhabitants, despite the heat, ran the leg in 33 minutes and 20 seconds proving that they have a fighting spirit and did not lag behind other cities by much.
