A prerequisite for digitalization of the society is the offer of e-public services and connectivity, in which Croatia is currently at the rear of the European Union. As the largest investor and partner in digitalization of the society, Hrvatski Telekom continues to actively participate by investing in faster and simpler adaptation of the transition to electronic document exchange through the development of EDI services.
A free seminar will be held on Friday February 15, 2019 at the headquarters of Hrvatski Telekom (Sky Office tower, R. F. Mihanovića 9, Zagreb) for all interested and potential users of EDI service. RIF experts (Croatian Association of Accountants and Financial Personnel), will teach the seminar participants about the changes the Law on e-invoicing in public procurement will bring, and will also have the opportunity to learn about the EDI service of Hrvatski Telekom and the benefits of digital business. Seminar is free for all participants, and number of places is limited. Applications are still open here.
Business digitalization is a prerequisite for competitiveness in any industry, and the advantages of switching to electronic document exchange are multiple. Business customers using EDI make substantial savings - there is no need for printing, archiving, and sending business documents, so they spend less paper than before. Data processing procedures are automated, eliminating repetitive manual processes and reducing the possibility of a human error when creating and sending documents, thereby increasing the accuracy and correctness of the data.
The EDI service has been developed in cooperation with Combis, the leading regional system integrator, and the specialty of Hrvatski Telekom’s EDI service is aimed at companies that operate with other business entities (B2B) and those engaged in public procurement (B2G) , and is tailor-made to companies of all sizes - those who need to send large amounts of documents, as well as those who simply want to digitize business, optimize resources, and be more competitive due to a higher degree of automation of business processes.
For larger companies with ERPs (Enterprise resource planning), the ideal way to use EDI is integration with the ERP system, while smaller companies that do not use such systems and want or must use EDI, can use EDI portal that can be accessed via the internet.
“Electronic document exchange is the foundation for a more successful and better business relationship between a client and a supplier, and companies that use EDI in their business are faster and more reliable and are easier to do business with. Switching from the paper exchange of business documents to electronic seems to be the first step towards digitalization of operations and reduction of paperwork,” said Jerko Dumanić, Director of Business Marketing Sector at Hrvatski Telekom.
