On the occasion of the release of Humanz, Gorillaz’ new and long-awaited album, on 28 April, Deutsche Telekom’s Telekom Electronic Beats joined forces with the globally popular band to reveal a whole new dimension in music and technology to the fans. On that occasion, you can watch the band’s first ever live interview, to be broadcast exclusively on 24 April at 16:00 h on Electronic Beats YouTube channel http://bit.ly/1na1kzW, where the fans of Murdoc and 2D will be able to learn everything about the new album. It is an innovative AR application which allows Gorillaz’ fans to transform any magenta surface into a virtual portal with exclusive Gorillaz content. This innovative AR application enables a new experience and dimension of the band, including a look inside the home to band members Murdoc Niccals, Russel Hobbs, 2D, and Noodle. In addition to exclusive multimedia content, made available to the fans through The Lenz app, Hrvatski Telekom offers the fans an opportunity to go to the concert in Budapest on 16 June. Commenting on the band’s first ever live conversation, seen by many as key to bringing the band closer to a full virtual performance, Gorillaz bassist Murdoc Niccals said: “Get ready for the online event of the century - a live audience with me, Murdoc Niccals. Thanks to the eggheads, music geeks, and our comrades over at Telekom Electronic Beats, you can watch me and 2D live on the sofa and ask anything you want. Or just tell me how much you love me. But keep it clean, yeah?”
The app is available for Android http://bit.ly/2pU0Z66 and iOS mobile devices http://apple.co/2oX5GyT.
