Over two hundred racers were brought together for the first B2B RUN race in the city below Marjan Hill, showing yet again that Split “is the most sports-crazed city in the world”. Moreover, over 200 racers from diverse Croatian companies grouped into 22 teams showed their team spirit by running this five-kilometre race. The racers were encouraged by a large number of supporters. The team Polufinale d.o.o., ranked first in small-sized businesses category, Adriagate d.o.o. ranked first in medium-sized business category, whereas Ericsson Nikola Tesla team ranked first in the category of large companies. HEP ODS d.o.o. team won a special award for the team with the major contribution to the racing atmosphere, whilst NIRS TRGOVINA team was declared the fittest company. In individual competition, Nikolina Šustić Stanković was first in women’s competition, whilst Marin Koceić came first in men’s competition, both of them Ericsson Nikola Tesla employees.
This race, intended primarily for the business community, has brought together employees from a large number of Split-based companies who, grouped into teams comprising of at least three members, were provided the opportunity to run for a common goal, defending the colours of their team uniforms and strengthen their relationship with their colleagues outside the work environment.
“I am proud of our team and the achieved results. Moreover, I am glad we have been given the opportunity to show our racing skills, our motivation, and our team spirit and, encouraged by the best supporters in the world, running the five-kilometre race was an easy task. We will be looking forward to this race next year yet again, when, I believe, the number of racers will increase significantly,” stated Nikolina Šustić Stanković, a member of Ericsson Nikola Tesla winning team.
Hrvatski Telekom is the honorary sponsor of the race.
“We believed in Split there will be high racer turnout, yet the number of teams and the atmosphere created absolutely delighted us. Running in the beautiful streets of Split along the most beautiful sea proved to have excellently attracted racers, whilst this race, irrespective of its competitive spirit, encouraged the socialising and networking through physical activity, which, I am convinced, will also positively impact on our future business activity,” as highlighted by Boris Batelić, Member of the Management Board and Chief Customer Experience Officer at Hrvatski Telekom.
Over 1,200 racers from over 100 companies have applied for “B2B RUN powered by HT” business race held in Croatia. The next B2B RUN race will be held in 2 weeks in Rijeka. It will be followed by a race in Osijek on 30 June 2016, and the final race of the season will be held in Zagreb on 15 September 2016.
