Hrvatski Telekom's top management provided analysts and investors with presentations on the trends and developments on the Croatian market and how HT was responding to such trends. More than 50 attendees, also including foreign investors and analysts, participated in the regular Capital Market Day held at the offices of HT, this time supported by brokers of Erste bank.
The presentations were held by Davor Tomašković, President of the Management Board and Chief Executive Officer, Kai-Ulrich Deissner, Chief Financial Officer, and Thorsten Albers, Chief Technical and Information Officer. In addition to the presentation of Hrvatski Telekom as Croatia's leading telecommunications operator and of HT's further capabilities resulting from its technology leadership, the presenters also provided an insight into how the business had been financially and operationally managed over the last two years.
Ivan Kurtović, President of the Management Board of Interkapital, one of the largest brokerage firms, pointed out that Croatia needed as many of such events as possible, and added: “Continuous communication with investors makes the company a lot more transparent. Communication is needed both in good and in bad times, and Hrvatski Telekom is definitely a forerunner of this trend, along with a few other companies in the region that are communicating with investors in line with Western European standards.”
Analysts and investors had the opportunity to ask specific questions about HT’s plans immediately after the presentations, but also during the subsequent informal gathering with the Members of the Management Board.
“This has been a very useful event which gave us investors a detailed insight into the company, what has been done and what is planned to be done. As for us, it is essential that we had the opportunity to receive answers to questions of importance to investors directly from the company’s top management“, said Maria Veronika Sutedja, Telecommunications Sector Analyst at Erste Group Bank AG.
HT Capital Market Day was rated as very successful by the investor community, and as a shining example for other companies on the Croatian capital market.
