Hrvatski Telekom provides speeds up to 225 Mbps in Zagreb and Varaždin, and other cities and smaller towns are soon to join.
“The data transfer rate becomes more and more important to users of mobile services, because of the increased use of contents with larger amount of data, such as video clips and films. The speed of 225 Mpbs that we have reached provides our users with the fastest download and upload of video content or higher resolution images in Croatia, as well as with a possibility to enjoy a better image and sound quality and to play more demanding online games,” explained Goran Toplek from Hrvatski Telekom.
The tariff plans which now include 225 Mbps are as follows: Najbolja Imam sve (+), Premium (+), Gold+, Najbolja Executive+, Najbolja Mobile net (+) 25GB and Najbolja Mobile net Flat, and Flex VPN tariff plans with 2GB and 5GB data parameter included, as well as the 4G option within VPN tariff plans.
The network enhancement and the constant growth of Internet speeds are a result of a strong investment wave of Hrvatski Telekom. In the first nine months of this year, the investment increased by 18 percent year on year. By the end of the year, HT is to invest HRK 1.3 billion, which is a 25 percent increase compared to 2014. The largest portion of the investment is aimed at developing mobile and fixed infrastructure, increasing broadband Internet access capacities, and finalising the IP transformation of the fixed network.
