Hrvatski Telekom is the first operator to offer business customers the latest version of Microsoft Office 365, in monthly installments, without contractual obligation. Customers will be able to select from various package sizes, depending on their needs or the size of their company. Microsoft Office 365 can also be used by crafts and trades with a single employee, and up to companies with several thousand employees. The service will be available from 14 July in HT’s online app store ICT Marketplace, at a price of HRK 79 per month; all those who preorder Office 365 until 14 July will get a 10 per cent discount on the monthly fee.
Microsoft Office 365 includes all functionalities of the well-known Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook available for local installation on the desktop, tablet or smartphone (on a maximum of five devices with a single license). However, as this is a cloud-based solution, many additional advanced features are available, such as:
- e-mail server (Exchange Online),
- document sharing (SharePoint Online),
- web conferences (Lync Online) and
- online document storage (OneDrive for Business).
To what extend Microsoft Office 365 is recognized by users, is illustrated by the fact that its last version has been downloaded a million times, or once every second in the first 100 days from its commercial launch.
„Hrvatski Telekom is constantly keeping track of market trends; we strive to offer our customers those services that will really help them in the development of their operations, to make them as competitive as possible. As a company, we understand how important this is. And the entrepreneurs themselves see that cloud-based operations bring benefits. According to a study conducted by Microsoft in Europe*, 70 per cent of interviewed small enterprise owners stated that with cloud services, they generate savings. Most of them, 83 per cent, have reinvested such savings in product development“, said Tomislav Kosanović, Director of HT’s Standard ICT Products Department.
Payment of the service by monthly installments will provide another opportunity for entrepreneurs to reduce costs and to generate savings. First of all, in terms of investment in office software, because they do not have to make initial investments to pay for licences for an entire year in advance. Those funds can be invested in product development.
Tomislav Kosanović adds: „We trust that Croatian entrepreneurs will recognize the benefits of Microsoft Office 365 which we offer them on a „pay per use“ basis. And there is a free 30-day trial. As with all our cloud services."
In order to educate business customers about all benefits of cloud-based services which will very much simplify their everyday work, Hrvatski Telekom started a video online campaign simply named „Kata and Data“. Kata is a business customer who is not very familiar with IT services of everyday use, while Data is an expert knowledgeable about cloud solutions.
