During Days of Communication – central national festival of marketing communications - held May 15 to 18 in Rovinj, the prestigious award of Croatia Effie 2014 award was held on May 17 for the most significant achievements in marketing communications in the areas of efficiency and strategic thinking of marketing campaigns. In the fierce competition of 40 works submitted by 28 advertisers and 40 marketing agencies one gold, three silver and three bronze awards were awarded.
Hrvatski Telekom and Iskon won valuable Effie awards. HT together with agencies McCann Zagreb and Digitel Medijski Servisi won silver for the campaign that promoted the complete HT offer of fixed and mobile services MAXobitelj (MAXfamily), while Iskon, Laboratorium 360 and Digitel Media Services won one of the bronze awards for the campaign "Do not let grandma with cookies to pass." Grand Prix and a gold award for the best campaign went to Ledo, Imago advertising agency and Unex for the campaign "Ledonardo - search for an ice cream genius".
HURA (Croatian Association of Marketing Communications) organized the Croatian edition of Effie competition by the worldwide license of Effie Worldwide organization. Effie has been awarded since 1968 on the global and European level (Global Effie, and the Euro Effie), and at national competitions in over 40 countries around the world, with Croatia joining in 2009. In more than its 40 years, Effie Awards have become an international symbol of marketing effectiveness.
A day earlier, on May 16, as part of the same event, winners were announced for the creative communication IdejaX and Mixx and the student competition IdejaXica. As part of the competition IdejaX Iskon won the recognition for the advertiser of the year, and its campaign "Do not let grandma with cookies to pass" has been awarded in the categories Best integrated campaign and Telecommunications services.
